How can I connect a Fanvil VOIP phone to my PC to share internet connection from it?

To share your PC internet connection with your voip phone you need to share your internet connection on your PC:

  • Right click on your network icon in your task bar and choose network and internet settings.
  • Click on advanced network settings and then more network adapter options.
  • Right click your wireless adaptor, select properties, and then click the sharing TAB.
  • Check to share the adapter, choose the ethernet adapter to share it to and uncheck allow other network users to control or disable.
  • Click on the network TAB and choose IP4 settings.
  • Leave the obtain ip address automatically as it is.
  • Choose use the following DNS server addresses and on the first line enter: 1962.168.137.1 and click OK.
  • Right click on the ethernet adapter and choose properties.
  • Choose IP4 settings and click properties.
  • It should have automatically chosen use the following IP address and entered the ip address of 192.168.137.1.
  • The subnet mask should have automatically entered 255.255.255.0 and there should be nothing in the default gateway.
  • Use the following DNS server addresses should be checked but nothing entered into the preferred and alternative servers.
  • The IP Phone should be set on ip4 by DHCP.
  • Reboot computer and see if it works.
  • If not working enter the tcp4 advanced settings on the ethernet adapter only and on the wins tab choose enable Netbios over TCP/IP
  • Reboot the computer again and check.
