In Outlook with one of my email addresses, when i read an email and move to the next one it is marked as read and then 15 seconds later marks itself as unread. The only way i can get it to stay as read is to wait each time i click on an email to the previous one syncs. How do I Fix this?
Open Outlook click on the File tab > Account Settings > Account Settings drop-down button.
Double-click on the concerned email account > Click on the More Settings button > Click on the Advanced tab.
Check the option under Folders; if the Root folder path box is empty or filled-in.
If the box is empty please type the word Inbox and then click on Apply and/or Ok at the bottom of the box to save the settings.
Close the Account Settings box and restart the Outlook and check if read emails stays unchanged.
